The Project

Disco Dips came in with a clear product vision and a name that already told you almost everything: four condiments with names like Glitterball Ketchup, Motown Mustard, Ballroom BBQ, and Raving Ranch.

The brand wanted to own something fun, loud, and unapologetically joyful in a condiment category that usually defaults to either premium minimalism or retro nostalgia.

The ask was to build the
branding from scratch.

Logo, color system, product naming, tagline, and packaging design for all four SKUs. Everything needed to work together as a cohesive family while giving each product its own moment on shelf.

Finding the Creative Territory

The reference world came into focus quickly. The brand lives somewhere between a glitter-soaked disco ball and a neon honky-tonk: playfully punk, sparkly, the kind of thing that makes you smile before you open the lid. That energy had to be intentional, not just decorative. Loud is easy. Loud and coherent is the actual work.

The condiment category gave us real room to move. Most brands in the space play it safe. Disco Dips had an opening to own a visual language no one else was using, which meant the design system needed enough confidence to actually commit to the bit rather than hedging toward something more conventional.

The logo was built to carry the full weight of that territory. Bold type, high energy, visual personality that reads from across an aisle. The color system gave each product its own distinct identity while keeping the family clearly related, four corners of the same dance floor rather than four unrelated flavors that happen to share a name.

Short, confident, and hard to forget.

The tagline wrote itself, out of the brand's core idea:

Product Names

Each product name was developed to nod to a different corner of the dance and music world: Glitterball Ketchup, Motown Mustard, Ballroom BBQ, Raving Ranch.

The names gave the line range and character without making the products feel disconnected from each other.

Packaging carried the full system across all four SKUs. The goal was something that rewards both the single-product shopper and the full-lineup shelf display, where the family feels even stronger together than it does individually.

The design had to work at scale on shelf, at close range in hand, and in the kind of social context where a bottle with this much personality tends to end up in a photo.

The Results

Disco Dips launched with a complete brand identity and packaging system, built to scale as the line grows. The visual language is distinct enough to stand out in a crowded category and cohesive enough to support whatever comes next: new SKUs, seasonal variants, retail expansion.

More than that, it's a brand with a genuine point of view. In a space full of safe choices, that's the real competitive advantage.
